Show of Hands concert raises nearly £1,000

for St. Laurence's Church

On 16th February, SHOW OF HANDS played a concert as part of their Full Circle tour, which celebrates the duo's decades long career.

Nigel Dick, bell-ringer-in chief (Tower Captain) at St. Laurence's, Lighthorne, suggested to the Lighthorne Folk committee that the concert could raise money for the church - and that the church could host the concert.
So that's what we did.
What a good idea it turned out to be. A capacity crowd enjoyed a wonderful concert in a magical setting. And we all generated some much needed money for the church.
If you missed it, here are a few photos.

CONCERTS

In addition to the intimate and atmospheric monthly Antelope get-togethers, Lighthorne Folk will, from time to time, continue with the equally-successful Village Hall format for bigger audiences wishing to see nationally-known acts.

A LITTLE BIT MORE

ABOUT US

Lighthorne Folk was set up in 2018, and since the very beginning we have tried to promote Folk Music in the village and surrounding areas.  We are focused on becoming a warm platform for every folk musician and a destination for every folk music fan.

LIGHTHORNE

Lighthorne is a beautiful small village in Warwickshire. It is located 8 miles south of Warwick and 10 miles east of Stratford Upon Avon.

A GROUP OF FRIENDS

After some beers and some conversations, we are mainly a small group of villagers who enjoy folk music and to get together for a pint.

LIVE MUSIC

We have a huge passion for live music, from local musicians starting out to the some of the biggest acts in the folk community.

THE NEXT GENERATION

We actively encourage younger music fans to get involved in live music through open mic sessions and attending our live shows.
