Steve Knightley and his recently formed Winter Yards Band held a secret gig - their first ever public performance - in fromt of a select audience in The Antelope Inn restaurant a week before officially going on tour.

Steve - Lighthorne Folk's Patron - told the audience that the village felt like the band's "natural home" because they had also secretly rehearsed here the previous April.

Steve has promised to bring the four-piece back for an "official" gig at some future date; watch this space!

Lighthorne Folk is proud and privileged to welcome Irish singing legend Cara Dillon.

A true global superstar, Cara has been winning awards for her songwriting and her pure, emotive vocals since she was a teenager growing up in Northern Ireland in the 1990’s.

Three decades on, and at the very height of her powers, Cara has spent the past two years touring her personal and highly-acclaimed retrospective, “Coming Home”. And now she is back on the road as a duo with her husband and musical partner, Sam Lakeman, with a mix of traditional and self-composed songs. The atmospheric St Laurence’s Church, Lighthorne, is probably the most intimate gig she will play on this Autumn’s tour.

Cara and Sam appear at Lighthorne on Friday October 24 at 8.00pm.

A rare opportunity to see Cara perform in the tranquil, intimate setting of an English village church, situated in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside - not to be missed!

Seth Lakeman takes a solo break from his headline The Granite Way tour with a welcome return to Lighthorne - a year after he rocked the Antelope Tent.

Lighthorne Folk is again immensely proud that he has chosen to play here - one of his very few intimate performances for 2025 - in a year of big-venue gigs across the UK and Europe. Seth will again play the Tent on Friday July 11, 2025.

Tickets are £27.00 (inc a £2 booking fee). There will be unreserved seating. Doors at 7pm. Gig starts at 8pm. Support from Lighthorne favourites Mick Bisiker and Friends. Lighthorne is the only Seth Lakeman gig currently planned for this area.

Geoff Lakeman

Geoff was our first major gig in The Antelope, in September 2018,and we could not have asked for a better start.

Great songs from a master storyteller and raconteur was the launch pad for Lighthorne Live Music Sessions.

Geoff was so pleased with the Lighthorne experience that he encouraged his kids to play here. Seth appeared in summer 2024 and Sam will perform with Cara Dillon in October 2025.
